Dean,

I haven't posted the sources themselves on the website, but I try to cite all the sources I use. At some point, we do plan to have a primary source archive on the website, but that will involve a great deal of work. Also, some sources are protected by copyright, so I can't just reproduce them. If you'd like any particular source materials, feel free to email me at mfnamee [at] gmail [dot] com.

Thanks for your interest, and sorry for any confusion.

Yes, your understanding is correct.

As for the navigation of the site, I honestly have no idea if anyone else has had the issues you have. You're certainly the first to say anything since we opened in the summer. (It's not something we devised, actually—the design is a standard Wordpress theme named "Aspire." From what I have seen, it's fairly standard among active weblogs in its layout.)

You may find it helpful to make use of the boxes containing the categories, authors and tags, which (if clicked) will display only posts grouped accordingly. The "Find Entries" search box at the top right may also be helpful.

Thanks Fr...in other words, the source material is not available online via the notes...if I understand correctly.

With no disrespect intended..I really have to admit that this is one of the (very) few sites where the physical setup of the site is so confusing (to me)...that I really end up not visiting often. I wonder if anyone else has this problem?

I have the feeling there's a lot of good information here...somewhere. But my repeated attempts to navigate around generally lead to a whole bunch of bad Greek words...LOL

....and I'm an (amateur) historian!!! Original sources are my raison d'etre...

Just a (hopefully) constructive thought.

Best Regards,
Dean

I don't know if I'm the only one having a continuing tug of war with the layout of this entire site...if so, please forgive me.

I go to the footnotes of the article above, all of which have links...I click on the links (ie the Roman numerals preceding each note) and all I get is jibberish. I've tried three different browsers, so it's not that.

Are the sources accessible via these notes or not? If not, what is the purpose of the highlighting of the numerals?

Thanks in advance.
